Surrounded by supporters, Christophe presented a new vision of his “Muse”, which has been at the centre of his inspiration this season. This season the designer abandons his aggressive muses to focus on a tender heroine who makes her debut wearing translucent dresses. From soft colours like nude, champagne, iceberg white to silver and many pastels including old pink, powder and pink wood on a silk chiffon contrast with a touch of vivid lipstick red on a second skin silk jersey fabric and Turk blue accents mixes with absinthe green, the dearest of French romantics. Innocence melts into eroticism close to an atmosphere of David Hamilton pictures.
Designer’s interpretation is mixing shapes to propose a new silhouette with sometimes unfinished parts covered with a nude beaded mesh revealing some skin. With this idea that inspiration is volatile and can missed on some part of a dress creating Mermaid line of draped gowns creates ethereal vestals almost fainted at the first wink. The world of the photographer becomes Christophe’s for once to stage exquisite, fresh-faced nymphs dressed with vaporous pieces.
