The publication said that Pitt and Aniston realized what’s truly important in life. And they also learned to trust each other despite everything that has happened.
Brad Pitt apologized to Jennifer Aniston 11 years after their divorce
A source told Entertainment Tonight that it took the exes 11 years before they started talking again. Pitt reached out to Aniston in 2016 following his split from Angelina Jolie.
The Ad Astra actor, reportedly, apologized to his first ex-wife for everything that he has done.
“Brad is in such a different place than he was when they were together. Brad is truly an introspective guy who has worked hard on himself. He has apologized to her for many things he felt were his issues in their relationship.
He truly takes ownership of his mistakes and that has changed their relationship with each other today. They both have moved on. Right now, they just love and adore each other and have been much closer friends since their divorce. Brad has grown so much in his life since he and Jen broke up,” the source said.
Jennifer Aniston struggled after Brad Pitt divorce
Before Brad Pitt apologized to Aniston, the Friends star first went through the different stages of grief. During her interview with Vanity Fair, Aniston said that one of the things that hurt her the most was Pitt and Jolie posing for photos with the latter’s kids like they were a happy family.
“The world was shocked, and I was shocked. There are many stages of grief It’s sad, something coming to an end. It cracks you open, in a way—cracks you open to feeling. When you try to avoid the pain, it creates greater pain. I’m a human being, having a human experience in front of the world. I wish it weren’t in front of the world. I try really hard to rise above it,” Aniston said.
