Prince Harry, Meghan Markle’s Book May Cause ‘lasting damage’ to Royal Family

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s controversial biography, Finding Freedom, may cause a “lasting damage” to the Royal Family.

A television presenter also called the book a “PR disaster” for the couple. Finding Freedom reveals some personal details about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s lives.

This includes their alleged “frustrations” living as senior royals and fallout with The Firm. It will, reportedly, reveal the truth behind their decision to step back from their royal duties.

The book’s effect on the Royal Family

According to Mirror Online, sources said the book is painted a “very one-sided account” that would “leave lasting scars” on their relationship with the Royal Family.

“It’s sadly hard to imagine a world where this won’t do lasting damage to many of the personal relationships explored in this very one-sided account,” they said.

They also question Sussexes’ involvement in the book. Authors Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie earlier revealed they did not have any interviews with the pair.

Instead, they talked to over 100 sources, who had access to Prince Harry and Meghan’s “inner circle.”

However, in the book’s final pages, the authors admitted they did talk to the two royals.

“We have spoken with close friends of Harry and Meghan, royal aides and palace staff (past and present),” they revealed. “The charities and organizations they have built long-lasting relationships with and, when appropriate, the couple themselves.”

Finding Freedom a PR disaster for the couple

Meanwhile, Janet Street-Porter called Finding Freedom a “PR disaster” for Prince Harry and Meghan. She said on Loose Women that the book’s tone was “very gushing,” per Daily Mail.

Along with fellow panelists, Brenda Edwards and Stacey Solomon, they talked about the bombshell biography. They also discussed Prince Harry and Meghan’s departure from the royal family that ultimately backfired for them.

Street-Porter added they should have “distanced themselves from it.”

“Harry and Meghan, if they did cooperate with the book, I think it’s a bit of a PR disaster for them,” she added. “I don’t see it as really enhancing their status as a couple to be taken seriously if they want a new life on the world stage, making important announcements.”

Anyhow, the 73-year-old broadcaster admitted she had yet to read the book thoroughly. She only saw the serialization in the press and had no interest in seeing the whole work.

She even called some details of it as “amazingly benign.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s biography is now out on the market and, reportedly, becoming a best seller.
