Kim Kardashian was supposed to star in THIS reality TV show before KUWTK

There was almost a time when Kim Kardashian was supposed to star in another reality TV show, before Keeping Up With the Kardashians started airing.

Kim Kardashian, who turned 40 on Wednesday, revealed that she was due to film on I’m A Rich Kid Get Me Out Of Here before it got canceled.

It later gave her a way to work with socialite and heiress Paris Hilton.

In one of the 40 facts she revealed to celebrate her 40th birthday, the KKW Beauty mogul confessed, “I was supposed to be on a reality show called I’m A Rich Kid Get Me Out of Here. It got canceled before filming. I was devastated, and then KUWTK happened.”

Keeping Up With the Kardashians is coming to an end next year, after twenty successful years in televisions.

Despite those successful years, the mom-of-four revealed that she didn’t make that much money from the show.

Instead, she made more money promoting products and posting photos on her Instagram with more than 190 million followers.

Kim Kardashian revealed that there’s more money on social media than in one entire season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

The Queen of reality TV told David Letterman in an interview, “We would not be who we are today without Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and that’s why we continue to share our lives.”

“Even if, realistically, we can post something on social media and make more than we do a whole season,” she added.

Meanwhile, her mother, Kris Jenner, blames social media for the end of their family-oriented reality show.

After 14 years, the final chapter is due to air in 2021.

The notorious momager claimed that the rise in social media meant it’s taking less time for her famous family to connect with fans, rather than them having to wait for a new KUWTK episode.

The 62-year-old added that platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat didn’t exist when they first started.

“The world has changed. Now, there are so many. The viewer doesn’t have to wait three or four months to see an episode.”

She further said, “We can give them all the information anyone would ever want to know in real-time.”

However, the mom-of-six credits social media as the “fastest and most controlled way” to get something out.

Kris also believes her kids want their fans to be part of the journey and keep them engaged, something social media can do.

In September, Kim Kardashian first broke the news that they will be ending their reality TV show.
