Lady Gaga Forced to Cancel Las Vegas Gig 20 Minutes Before Start: Reason’s Here

Just hours before the show could open to a packed auditorium, the singer made the announcement that she won’t be able to perform due to severe illness.

Pop star Lady Gaga left thousands of her fans in the lurch last minute as she cancelled her Las Vegas gig on Wednesday. The ‘Shallow’ singer had to take the decision owing to her ill health. Just hours before the show could open to a packed auditorium, the singer made the announcement that she won’t be able to perform due to severe illness. Taking to social media, the 33-year-old singer revealed  that she had to cancel her performance after contracting a sinus infection and bronchitis.

Gaga was slated to perform  at the Park Theatre at Park MGM where she is in the middle of her two-year residency and is reportedly earning USD 100 million for an initial run of 74 performances, entitled Enigma, Mirror UK reported. Taking to Twitter, Gaga shared a picture of herself in bed with a pump and tubes attached to her arm. She wrote, “I’m so devasted [sic] I can’t perform tonight for so many people who traveled to come see me. I have a sinus infection and bronchitis and feel very sick and sad. I never want to let you down. I’m just to weak and ill too perform tonight. I love you little monsters I’ll make it up to you. I promise.”

While fans were obviously disappointed, some sided with Gaga wishing her best for the recovery. One fan wrote, “I waited for six months and flew to Vegas for this! I’m absolutely devastated and the only way to make this up to me is to release ARTPOP ACT II on streaming services immediately !!!” While another commented, “Flew 7000 miles to see @ladygaga in Vegas and she cancels 20 minutes before the show… I love you Gaga but I am f***ing devastated #GagaVegas #Enigma”.
