Margot Robbie is curious about the ‘Suicide Squad Ayer Cut’

Harley Quinn actress Margot Robbie just expressed her excitement for the Suicide Squad Ayer Cut. She wants to see the alternate version.

According to Gamesradar, actress Robbie expressed her hopes for the Suicide Squad Ayer Cut on a recent podcast show. While speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, she said:

“I never saw the Ayer Cut; I mean, I know we shot a lot of stuff that didn’t make it into the movie. I would be very curious about myself.”

She also expressed a surprising reaction upon knowing that Jared Leto’s Joker is in Zack Snyder’s 2021 Justice League. Replying to this new information, she commented: “Really? I didn’t know that. Cool.”

With Zack Snyder’s Justice League about to arrive next year, this is another instance of an unseen version. In terms of 2016’s The Suicide Squad, it’s said that the original movie never came out in theaters. And the theatrical cut wasn’t the actual image of the director.

In fact, David Ayer himself informed about this on his Twitter account previously. He wrote that his film “was ripped to pieces – I can’t emphasize that enough.”

He also added that “major elements of my cut were ripped out before I could mature the edit. Then [Geoff] Johns [then-president of DC Entertainment] wrote pages I had to reshoot.”

Director Ayer has already officially confirmed, from his side, that his version of the film exists. But it depends on the heads at Warner Bros. if they actually want to allow it to see the light of the day.

However, it will also depend on how the Snyder Cut of Justice League performs next year.

It seems like there are some serious issues and conflicts at Warner Bros. when it comes DC-based movie universe. The filmmakers always keep having some creative differences, either with the bosses at the top level or with the cast members.

But the second situation of an unseen director’s cut in the DCEU tells that things are not that normal. In fact, the Snyder Cut actually became a reality only due to the unstoppable fan campaigning in the last few years on social media. Petitions were filed in millions, and then the heads at Warner Bros took notice.

So, a similar approach of many die-hard people is needed if they want the Suicide Squad Ayer Cut to become a “real thing.”
