Albert Kremlier has always been inspired by landscape and architecture and so decided to visit morocco for his newest collection which undoubtedly was a booming success.
The ever popular company, known for its high class fashion and glamour, revealed its newest collection of 2015 at the majestic city of Morocco called, Chefchaouen. The renowned designer has always been inspired by his surroundings, be it furniture or a landscape or a house, Albert Kremlier chose to seek inspiration from this small city known for its blue tiles and architecture. Naturally, the main color of the event was blue and the dresses flaunted various shades of blue in the Akris Resort Collection.
The highlight of the run way was a navy blue leather coat that stood out amongst all with its ultra fine leather material that was paper thin and entirely Chic and elegant. Another one of the dress was a white buttoned triple twist elongated cotton shirt and a waterproof material used for a trench that looked and felt like cashmere. The Designer’s collection was admired by the audience handsomely.
Albert Kriemler has triggered fashion design at Akris for over thirty years now and has been highly successful at it. His ability to mix innovation with comfortable wearable clothings has led to a delicate, silky and modern visual those appealing to a sophisticated, cultivated woman. In addition to the Akris Collection, Albert Kriemler creates the Akris Punto line and the accessories collection. Akris has been showcased on the runway in Paris since 2004.
The Designer believes in simplicity and says that a dress "basically has to be simple because we live in times that are complicated enough as it is." Albert Kriemler loves art, architecture, music, photography, and especially the landscape around his native St. Gallen. Although for this collection the Designer chose to star his collection at Morocco.
Kriemler basically specializes in photo prints. The ones that he used this season was a landscape of Chefchaouen’s remarkable architecture and an image of spools of thread found in a souk which he incorporated in the style of his collection as well as the colors.
It came across particularly well when it was distracted so that it seemed more like a graphic geometric pattern than a photo. All in all, Kriemler’s focus was on daytime clothes, the type you could visualize Akris’ wealthy customers would demand for a long weekend getaway. There were only a couple of evening looks within the collection. A floor-scraping organza overlay worn with a strapless sequined cocktail number was a real sparkler.
