Oscar de la Renta 2016 Fall Bridal Collection

Peter Copping infused his gorgeous bridal collection with a ready-to-wear influence, reinterpreting styles from his spring 2016 runway with a bridal twist and a particular focus on separates. Case in point: an elegant silk faille trumpet gown with a Chantilly lace bustier covered in organza “petals” drew from a similar style from Copping’s spring collection, seen there in a black cocktail version. Delicate embroidery such as pearls, pale pink floral appliqués, sequins and bugle beads stitched together to create flower shapes covered sheer bateau necklines and voluminous ballskirts, creating a soft, ethereal and distinctly feminine mood.

A couple of sheer lace tops, done in short-sleeve and halter versions with ribbon ties, could be styled over column gowns or worn on their own with Copping’s frothy tulle skirts, one of them covered in hand-cut rosettes.
