In an ideal world, there would be no breakups or divorces and everybody would live happily ever after! But we live in an imperfect world with heart-shattering breakups and awkward encounters with exes. And while many might believe that exes could maintain a friendly relationship even after parting ways, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are keeping it real. According to a source close to them, the two are cordial but not friendly, and they are more than okay with keeping it that way.
During an interaction with Us Weekly, the source asserted that Britney does not have much of a relationship with Kevin. Other than cooperating in matters related to their two sons – Preston, 14, and Jayden, 13. “They are cordial but don’t do very much as a family,” the insider added. The two settled their divorce in 2007 after three years of marriage. Ever since they split up, the two worked together in raising their boys, regardless of their differences and relationship status.
Britney and Kevin’s custody agreement was amended in September this year. As a result of the changes, Kevin ended up getting the boys for 70 percent of the time while the pop star only gets them for 30 percent of the time. The initial agreement was settled on 50-50.
According to the source, Preston and Jayden rarely get to be with both their parents at the same time. They are mostly either with their mom or dad. The source also stated that the boys will be joining Britney on Monday for her birthday party and she is very excited about it.
