Brad, 56, and Jen, 50, who were married from 2000 until 2005, were pictured hugging and beaming at each other and quickly held hands. Moments before, according to an ET Canada reporter, Brad stopped to watch Jen on a screen backstage after realising she had scooped up an award and said ‘oh wow’.
With the rumour mill still churning and with Brad due to appear at the Academy Awards tonight, where he’s up for Best Supporting Actor for his turn in Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, is there any chance Jen could be his date?
After their gossip-fueling reunion at the SAG awards, there’s been no official word from Brad or Jen confirming that the pair are any kind of item again. In fact, a source told the Mirror that Brad’s date to the Oscars will be his mum Jane.
However another source close to the two stars previously told the publication that Brad and Jen have gone on ‘at least five dates’. They revealed: ‘I don’t think she’s ever really stopped loving him, even though he broke her heart when he left her for Angelina Jolie.
‘It has taken a long time but she has forgiven him for everything – forgiveness has been a big part of them moving on.’ The source added: ‘All he can talk about is Jen. They have reignited their romance and I haven’t seen either of them this happy in years.’
Brad and Jen first met in 1998 and married in 2000. Their marriage lasted five years, but in 2005, Jen ended up filing for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the cause. Announcing their split in a joint statement to People, Brad and Jen said at the time: ‘We would like to announce that after seven years together we have decided to formally separate. For those who follow these sorts of things, we would like to explain that our separation is not the result of any of the speculation reported by the tabloid media.
