Ex-Liverpool and England international Peter Crouch is one of the most laid back footballers to have played in the Premier League. It almost seemed inevitable that he and Prince Harry would become friends, and it has been recently revealed that they hit it off from the very first second that they met.
Crouch was speaking to the Radio Times recently and revealed that he was taken aback by a ‘cheeky’ comment made by Prince Harry about Crouch and his wife. The football star revealed that Harry queried Crouch regarding how he managed to get into a relationship with Abbey Clancey. Crouch revealed that Clancey was over the moon with the comment after he told her later on.

Harry and Crouch met when the former Liverpool striker was playing in a charity game for Unicef at Old Trafford in 2015. Crouch revealed that Harry was keen to ask him how he managed to ‘bag’ a model. It would seem as though Harry knew that the footballer would take it in good fun, and Crouch revealed that he thought Harry was nice and ‘down-to-earth’.
Crouch also revealed that Prince William is also down to earth, as he has met the future king on numerous occasions too. The two stars previously worked on a short film aiming to improve mental health in football, with William keen to gain an understanding of Crouch’s experiences.
