Rather than take the high road by giving former President Trump some credit for setting vaccine production in motion with Operation Warp Speed, Biden’s team is refusing to acknowledge the efforts of his predecessor who was faced with a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic.
Earlier this week, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki oozed contempt for Trump during her daily presser when asked by a reporter whether the Biden should acknowledge the contributions of his predecessor.
Psaki all but accused Trump of killing “half a million” people.
Asked if the Trump administration deserves more credit for initiating vaccine rollout, press sec. Jen Psaki tells @marykbruce, “I don’t think anyone deserves credit when half a million people in the country have died of this pandemic.” https://t.co/F7XMlskBBJ pic.twitter.com/HSsNnzyqFd

In a rare occurrence, a reporter posed a real question of Psaki who was clearly caught off guard.
Reporter: “The president has been pretty critical of the prior administration’s handling of this pandemic, saying you inherited a mess here. But when it comes to vaccinations, you are following some of the same playbook here. So does the prior administration deserve some credit for laying the groundwork?”
Psaki: “I don’t think anyone deserves credit when half a million people in the country have died of this pandemic. So what our focus is on and what the president’s focus is on when he came into office just over a month ago was ensuring that we had enough vaccines, we have– that we are going to have them now, we had enough vaccinators, and we had enough vaccine locations to get this pandemic under control.”
She added:
“There’s no question and all data points to the fact that there were not enough of any of those things when he took office. We are open-eyed about the challenge we continue to live under, and that’s why he has been focused every single day in doing everything possible to get the pandemic under control. But those were– there were shortages in all those areas which were preventing us from moving forward on getting the pandemic under control.”
These are tough times for Biden and his crew who seem to want to keep the coronavirus crisis going indefinitely but the increasing availability of Trump’s vaccines has thrown a monkey wrench into Democrats continuing to milk the public health crisis for political advantage.
The dominoes began to fall when Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that the Lone Star State would rescind mask mandates and allow businesses to reopen at 100 percent capacity next week.
Following Texas’s lead to free the people was Mississippi. And now that deep blue Connecticut is also lifting restrictions, the lockdowns that were driven by Democrats and media hysteria are on the brink of coming to an end nationally.
Whether Psaki likes it or not, the public who just wants to return to their normal pre-pandemic lives isn’t into playing cynical political blame games with what millions of Americans already view as an illegitimate administration.
