Sister Wives Kody on his marriage with Meri

In 2015, the polygamous family was rocked by a shocking revelation, Meri Brown was caught up in a catfishing scandal. It has been over five years since the controversy, but Kody Brown is still not over it.

On Sunday’s episode of Sister Wives, the pair opened up about the scandal. Kody admitted that the scandal made him saw his relationship with Meri “dissolve,” People reported.

Kody, 52, and Meri, 50, finally got together with him driving to her house. He thought he would see their daughter Mariah Brown and her fiancee, Audrey Kriss. However, Meri didn’t tell him that they left town to manage the family’s bed and breakfast in Utah.

According to Kody, Meri wanted to talk to him, so he would visit her. However, he really wanted to see their daughter, so he was very disappointed when she told him that he won’t see Mariah and Audrey.

A director remarked that Meri was teasing Kody for not disclosing that their daughter was not there. However, she denied it, saying she wasn’t teasing him because they don’t talk. She also insisted that they do not communicate.

Meri knows her worth

In a previous episode of Sister Wives, Kody said he only met Meri rarely compared to his three other wives. She seemingly addressed Kody’s revelation by insisting that she knows her worth.

Meri shared a snap of her on Instagram leaning on a tree while smiling. She accompanied it with a lengthy post about her worth.

Meri said she’s aware that she is a public figure, and people would give opinions based on their perspectives and values. However, she reminded them that she knows her worth and convictions. She’s not a quitter, and she’s strong and capable.

Meri added that she was grateful and reminded the people that they don’t have the same values and standards. So, she reminded them that even if they have differences, it doesn’t mean she lacks self-love, self-worth, and self-esteem.

Catfishing scandal revisited

Meri Brown started a relationship with someone known as Sam shortly after she divorced Kody Brown, so he could marry his fourth wife, Robyn. They communicated online, and six months later, she discovered that Sam was actually a woman named Jackie Overton, who is a known scammer, InTouch Weekly reported.

Meri spoke about the catfishing incident on season 7 of their hit TLC reality show. According to Meri, the catfish planted things on her head and was telling her how horrible her family, in particular, Kody, for being in a polygamous relationship, The List reported.
