According to the details, Princess Beatrice surprised royal watchers when she and her husband announced their baby news via the Queen’s official Twitter account on Wednesday. “The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement.
However, it seems the royal mum-to-be took inspiration from her cousin-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge, for concealing her pregnancy news and growing baby bump until the time felt right to announce.
Shortly after, a fan theory emerged claiming that perhaps Princess Beatrice used her hair to distract people from her growing bump in recent weeks, just like Middleton has been suspected of doing in the past.

Her most high-profile appearance was at the funeral of her grandfather the Duke of Edinburgh on April 17, at Windsor Castle. Despite the presence of television cameras, Beatrice managed to keep her news secret.
She wore a big black coat with a belt that cinched in the waist and to distract from her outfit, and she clasped her strawberry red hair into a thick ponytail that flowed down to her lower back.
The statement hairstyle was striking and quite a head-turning hairdo that successfully swerved people’s eyes from her belly to her head. Of course, the thick and form-fitting coat also added an extra layer of protection.
Kate Middleton also used this trick before announcing all three of her pregnancies with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Over the years, before revealing her baby news, the Duchess of Cambridge has experimented with a long curtain fringe, tight curls, and lighter shades of brown.
