Meghan Markle fans are angry with claims that Prince Harry has been “blinded” by her and that the royal is “destroying” himself.
Earlier this week, Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell reacted to a recent interview featuring the Duke of Sussex.
In it, Harry revealed that he uses a type of therapy called EMDR [eye movement desensitization and reprocessing] to deal with unresolved stress from the death of his mother.
Mr. Burrell, who first met Harry when he was three and worked for Diana for 10 years says he “doesn’t recognize” what the duke has now become.
He told Closer magazine: “He’s been blinded by Meghan, by her beauty and by this Hollywood world.
“I think now it could only be Meghan who can stop him from doing these interviews and doing any more damage, and destroying himself. He won’t heal if he keeps doing this.”
However, social media users came out in defense of Meghan.
One Twitter user posted: “Come on, this is his wife and for many husbands, loyalty to their immediate family is number one. This may be alien to you.”

Another said: “The Royal Family is not blameless for things that have happened in its past, and Harry is not the first to ‘abdicate’ from royal duties.
He’s just a bloke looking after his wife.”
A third added: “Harry is a wealthy, privileged, smart man with tons of options and a mind of his own!”
Since his interview with Oprah Winfrey was broadcast, Harry has made a series of extraordinary claims about the royals.
Earlier this month, the Duke of Sussex compared growing up in the Royal Family to “a mixture between The Truman Show and being in a zoo”.
Harry said he and Meghan had left the UK to “break the cycle” for his children and escape the “pain and suffering”.
The royal briefly returned to the UK for Prince Philip’s funeral last month and was even spotted chatting with brother Prince William and Kate Middleton.
However, it is unclear whether tensions have simmered between the brothers.
ITV journalist Tom Bradby – friends with both William and Harry – earlier said they had been arguing for the past 18 months.
He told The Times that the pair’s relationship had “slowly descended into something that was difficult – personally and publicly – really over the past year and a half”.
Last month, William reportedly ended his friendship with Mr Bradby after he defended Harry and Meghan’s Oprah interview
