Earlier this month, Tristan Thompson confirmed that he’s the father of Maralee Nichols’ son. The basketball star denied Nichols’ claims for weeks and even earned the support of Khloe Kardashian.
But now that the truth is finally out in the open, a source told Globe that the reality TV star vowed to never forgive her baby daddy.
“The truth is that she feels that she can’t take him back publicly even if she wanted to. She fears there’ll just be another woman with another story and her family has basically forbidden it,” the source said.
The source added that what happened between Kardashian and Thompson has been bittersweet for the former. But she’s left with no other choice but to accept things especially since Thompson is also a father to his 4-year-old son with Jordan Craig.
“She has True but she’s lonely. Tristan promised her that he had changed. They talked about having more kids and growing old together. But the cheating and the new baby smashed all those dreams for her,” the source said.
Following her split from Thompson, Kardashian’s other ex, Lamar Odom surprisingly expressed his desire to get back together with the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star.
Odom said that he hopes that the two of them can reconnect and stressed that Kardashian doesn’t deserve the treatment that she received from Thompson.
According to People, Kardashian is leaning heavily on her mom, Kris Jenner during this difficult time.
“Khloé is really struggling with what’s happening with Tristan. This time that he was unfaithful has been much harder than in the previous times. She really wants the relationship to work and she has been devastated,” the source said.
However, the momager reportedly wants her daughter and Thompson to have an amicable relationship with each other. As such, she’s been encouraging Kardashian to keep her communication lines open for the sake of True.
“[Khloé] wanted the fairytale life with him and she’s so upset. People around here have never seen her so down and are so thankful she has her mother there who has barely left her side,” the source said.
