Details of Gray Busey Se*xual Assault Allegations

Gary Busey is facing multiple sex offense charges coming from his alleged behavior at a convention earlier this month in New Jersey.

According to fresh legal filings obtained by TMZ on Monday, three women accuse him of sexually assaulting them on Aug. 13 at the Monster-Mania Horror Convention at the DoubleTree Hotel in Cherry Hill. Busey, 78, has denied the charges.

At the fan event, the Lethal Weapon actor allegedly took photos with the women. Busey, according to one of the women, moved his face close to her breasts and inquired where she got them before trying to unlatch her bra.

Busey is accused of grabbing the other woman behind. A man called the cops the day after the convention to say that Busey had also grabbed his daughter’s butt as well.

According to the documents, Busey first denied the claims when police approached him. The actor also requested an apology from the women, “claiming that it is sometimes possible to accidentally touch someone in a specific body part,” according to the records.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Busey was charged with four counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, one case of attempted criminal sexual contact, and harassment. His arraignment is set for August 31.

TMZ caught up with Busey in Malibu after information from the criminal complaint leaked, and he denied the charges. He maintained that he did nothing wrong and that the alleged victims made up their allegations.

According to Busey, “nothing happened” at the convention. He claims there are witnesses, including a photographer and another person, who can verify his statement. Busey was asked if he could have accidentally acted inappropriately, but he denied it.

According to a Facebook post on Friday, Monster-Mania organizers are helping Cherry Hill police with their investigation. After a complaint from a guest, Busey was “removed from the convention and instructed not to return.” They are also encouraging others to file police reports.

“The safety and well-being of all our attendees are of the utmost importance to Monster-Mania, and the company will not tolerate any behavior that could compromise those values,” the statement reads. “Monster-Mania will continue to assist the authorities in any and every way possible.”

Busey was on his way to becoming a movie star, even receiving an Oscar nod for his role as Buddy Holly in 1978’s The Buddy Holly Story. During the 1980s and 1990s, he played supporting roles in many blockbusters, including Lethal Weapon, Predator 2, Point Break, Black Sheep, and The Firm.

Many people remember him from his appearances on reality TV shows such as Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew and Celebrity Apprentice. He survived a near-fatal cocaine overdose in 1995 and has previously been charged with spousal abuse.
