The two cousins were out for a run when a pack of four aggressive, hungry pit bulls came at them from a neglected, tree-lined property, and began mauling them. The ladies fled across a field in terror and panic, but the dogs pursued them and knocked them to the ground before ripping into their bodies.
Surprisingly, the couple would remain in the “feeding frenzy” for a horrific 30 minutes before being rescued. Yet they undoubtedly weren’t spared damage. Unbelievably, after the ladies struggled for a half hour to keep the dogs at bay but were unable, the vicious canines tore much of one cousin’s head off and left the other with serious scars all over her body.
Rebekah was hospitalized after having 75% of her scalp pulled off, while Isabella had serious puncture wounds all over her body. Isabella’s mother, Shena George, has already posted pictures of her daughter after the incident.
The adolescent may be seen in the pictures with severe bite marks from the dogs covering the whole of her body. According to the graphic photos, Isabella was a bit from head to toe and had severe bruises all over her body in addition to deep puncture wounds.
Nonetheless, Isabella did considerably better than her cousin, who was healing at home soon after the incident. Rebekah was transported to a different hospital and put into the intensive care unit even though her health was classified as stable.
She will allegedly need surgery, including muscle and skin grafts, to reconstruct areas of her body where the pack of pit bulls tore pieces of flesh and muscle off her. “It resembles a scene from a horror film.
When I first saw (Rebekah and Isabella), they had just been mauled and were covered in blood. Shena remembered, “That was horrific. Rebecca’s scalp has had 75% of it removed. Her hair won’t be able to grow back. I wasn’t sure whether Rebekah would survive.
“I’m simply glad she’s still alive. Isabella’s father Derrick George remarked, shaking his head, “She has bite marks all over her body. Curtis Conklin, Isabella’s boyfriend, stated, “I mean, she was putting her arms up trying to defend herself and the dogs just kept running at her, so she got it very hard on mostly her right side.” according to WTHR.
He said, “From what I gather from the family, Rebekah is getting muscle put back on her leg transplanted and she had to undergo skin grafts since she lost 75% of her hair.” Rebekah’s health in the intensive care unit remains stable, according to the Forgey family.
The Life Gate Church, where the cousins attend, made the request on Facebook. “Please pray against infection in her wounds,” it said. They said, “The dogs did not assault her lovely face. They appreciate how much you care and they adore you.
While the women’s injuries are unbearably agonizing, they are undoubtedly fortunate to be alive. In actuality, the assault was only stopped when a passing driver saw it happening, drove her truck into the field, dispersed the dogs, and loaded the ladies into her car before dialing 911, according to Daily Mail. The four canines were ultimately found and murdered by police.
Police said that the dogs’ owner had neglected to feed them, which may have contributed to their aggressive behavior. They then requested that prosecutors file charges against him. Richard Darter, who brought himself up, has subsequently been charged with eight counts of dog bite responsibility for inflicting severe bodily damage.
Carroll County Sheriff Toby Leazenby stated, “This was basically portrayed to me last night as a feeding frenzy, and the ladies were simply trying all they could to defend themselves from the dogs.” “I’m afraid that these creatures were actually feeding,” the speaker said, “based on the injuries that I’m aware of at this moment.” According to the Journal & Courier, he issued a harsh warning, stating, “If you’re going to possess an animal, take responsibility for it.”
