On the brink of death, little girl ‘was finally able to open her eyes and say these 7 words’!

Little Abby has known cancer for the whole of her life. Sadly, the little girl was just four years old when she received her leukemia diagnosis. Doctors at the time said that she had a 20% chance of surviving. According to Patty, Abby’s mother, “We were devastated.”

“We were basically told that she was going to die, and there was very little hope.” The family gave Abby the best life they could given the circumstances during the course of the following six years by doing all they could to support her. She endured radiation treatment, severe chemotherapy, and a bone marrow transplant. She also took part in trials using different test drugs.

We maintained her in a loving environment since we were aware that she may pass away at any time, Patty added. “There were times when we weren’t sure whether she would survive; she had several illnesses that might have been fatal. All we could do was watch her struggle while attempting to improve.

But one day, it looked as if hope and a beam of sunshine were shining on the household. Abby had completed her treatments, so she was able to live her life as a normal young person throughout a gorgeous year. She attended classes, and football practice, and even decided to join the girl scouts. But cancer returned in September of the next year, and it was worse than ever, El Universal newspaper reported.

As difficult as the first diagnosis was, Patty says, “This one really put every fiber of our being to the test.” Any movement caused her pain, and she was unable to speak at all. The little child had a second bone marrow transplant, but just 15 days later she was given the diagnosis with graft-versus disease, a condition in which the recipient’s own tissue starts to get harmed by the donor bone marrow.

Abby’s kidneys began failing the next month. The physicians warned her parents that they needed to enroll their daughter in dialysis if they didn’t, or else she would pass away within 48 hours while she was in critical care.

The moment has come to part ways. Patty says, “Doctors advised us it was time to let her go; she was only awake for about an hour each day. “We started making plans for the deaths of our other daughters,” After Abby was admitted to the hospital’s end-of-life care unit, her grandparents traveled in to say their final goodbyes to their cherished granddaughter.

The painful responsibility of organizing their daughter’s burial fell upon the parents. After that, the little girl was receiving medication twice daily and was in remission. Although her health and future are yet unclear, her family remains optimistic. They appreciate every precious time they get to spend with their little daughter and take each day as it comes.
