New Covid variant with unique symptom is spreading rapidly

A brand-new Covid strain, the Arcturus variety, is spreading globally with unusual symptoms that authorities have never before seen.

Health experts are worried about the new Covid-19 variety because it seems to be more contagious. According to experts, the Covid subvariant Arcturus is a subvariant of the Covid subvariant Omicron.

The variation has so far been identified in 29 nations, including the UK, where it is the cause of 50 brand-new instances.

An old man in Thailand is said to have been the first victim to pass away from the new strain earlier today (April 20).

It is especially pervasive in India, where it has led to an increase in new cases. Even some Indian states have brought back face masks as a result of it.

Although there are still few cases in the UK, health authorities are closely monitoring this new variety. The World Health Organization (WHO) presently classifies it as a “variant of monitoring” rather than a more serious “variant of interest”.

The Arcturus strain’s distinctive symptoms, which vary from those of earlier strains, have received special attention from the WHO.

This novel Covid strain has been found to induce pink-eye or conjunctivitis in some individuals, in addition to the typical symptoms we have observed previously of a fever, cold, and cough.

Many of the young kids infected with the variation in India were exhibiting “itchy” or “sticky” eyes, a pediatrician told The Mirror.

There is some positive news, thankfully. Booster shots, according to some experts, will still be just as effective against this new variety.
