Mom, Boyfriend Sentenced To Life For Torture, Murder Of Toddler

According to authorities, a Palmdale mother and her boyfriend were both given life sentences in state prison for the 2003 murder of the woman’s 23-month-old baby.

Anthony Wilson, a child, was taken to the hospital after being struck in the head by Brandon Williams, 27, five times. On October 5, 2014, 41 days after his passing.

Rosie Lee Wilson, 23, was found guilty of second-degree murder and child abuse, and she was given a 15-year to a life sentence, according to a statement from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office.

Williams received a 25-year to life sentence after being found guilty of first-degree murder, torture, and assault on a child that resulted in death. The whole sentencing session was spent with him keeping his hands over his face and saying nothing.

After everything that you did to that poor young kid, it truly worries me that you’re such a coward that you can’t face us, Christine Harper, the deceased boy’s grandmother, remarked to Williams.

The toddler’s aunt, Christina Wilson, gave a statement to the guilty party in court.

“I find it hard to believe you could have done this. You just stood by as he suffered and passed away,” Christina Wilson stated. Was a cold-hearted mother who doesn’t care for her kid truly who you were? You bring this family into disrepute.

Rosie Wilson spoke to the court while sobbing, insisting that she was not solely to blame for what had happened to her son.

“Even if people don’t want to be there for me or care about me, I care about my kids,” she added. “I suffer every day for my loss.” And I pray to God that I can go to my daughter soon because she needs me.

According to Rosie Wilson, her mother is now caring for Wilson’s 6-year-old daughter.
