Louis Vuitton is currently investigating a former employee's claims of sexism and racism.

Louis Vuitton is currently investigating a former employee’s claims of sexism and racism. The allegations were made by Chanjira Razzell who used to work in the label’s Selfridges concession.

"Louis Vuitton believes that the rich diversity of people within our workforce is central to the value of the brand," a statement from the brand read today. "We seek to ensure that our practices meet the highest standards of integrity, responsibility and respect and, therefore, take any allegations of this nature extremely seriously. We are currently undertaking an investigation into this matter. We are unable to comment on this case while the investigation is ongoing."

Chanjira Razzell claims that she was recruited to work in the concession as a saleswoman because it wanted to attract more Thai customers, the Times reports, and that she was subjected to a series of sexual text messages from a colleague.

In details of her employment tribunal, she recalled how she was asked to attend a "store approval" interview when she was "humiliated" by questions relating to her Thai heritage and name. She was allegedly dismissed shortly afterwards. The allegations are thus far unconfirmed.
