The ‘X Factor’ judge, 35, and the Formula One driver, 28, were devastated after they ended their five-year, long-distance relationship last month, due to their hectic schedules, but their romance is reportedly back on track after they recently met up in Los Angeles for an emotional reunion.
A source close to Lewis told the Sunday People newspaper: ”Both Nicole and Lewis had a bit of time off so it was the perfect time to meet. "After the split he was devastated so when he suggested that he fly out to see Nicole, he was delighted she said yes. "He went to her house in Los Angeles to talk things through and both thought it was a great success.
"It was the last opportunity when they could spend time together and talk through their future. "They desperately want to be together but they know that from now until Christmas is going to be really tough. They’re both willing to give it their best shot and try to make a success of it though.
"They love one another dearly and have deeply missed each other since they split." An insider previously revealed that the couple remained in close contact throughout their latest split and found it difficult to cope without one another.
Lewis recently dedicated his win in the Hungarian Grand Prix to the ‘Poison’ hitmaker, though he could not bring himself to say her name. He said: "It feels a little bit odd without that someone here, but I would say now that this is one of those races you want to dedicate to that someone."
