She revealed last month that her daughter North had given her a hand-painted Hermes bag for her birthday.
And Kim Kardashian put being fashionable aside on Monday as she modeled what appeared to be the one-of-a-kind bag for the first time. The 34-year-old was seen carrying a cream handbag splattered with paint as she made her way to an office building with husband Kanye West in Los Angeles.
The bag featured a brown leather handle and off-white body, which looked to sport a small orange handprint surrounded by blue and white splashes of paint. Hermes bags can run anywhere from a few thousand dollars to upwards of $60,000.
Kim tweeted a picture of her and Kanye out with the bag on Monday, with the caption: ‘Me & my bae out today. Wearing my favorite bag painted by my little North.’ Kim offset the colourful accessory with an understated grey coat over a fitted white dress paired with nude heels. She wore her dark hair in loose waves and sported heavy black eye makeup and subtle lips.
The reality star was accompanied by her husband, who wore his trademark grey skinny jeans and brown boots teamed with a loose black T-shirt.
Also seen arriving at the office building was Kim’s mother Kris, who looked stylish in a tight black dress over thigh-high black boots. She shielded her eyes with stylish sunglasses as she gave a big grin for the camera.
Kim said last month that she was delighted with the unique gift Kanye helped their 16-month-old daughter create – and admitted that, until she saw footage of the youngster decorating the purse, she thought it had been created by an up-and-coming artist. She said: ‘Kanye had a box [with an Hermes purse in it] and I opened it up and it was all painted really cool and on my computer was this message that said "Play" and it was a video of my daughter sitting outside painting the purse.
‘I had thought it was this new artist who had painted this purse [but] it was my daughter. It was amazing.’
