We asked celebrity stylist Daniel Musto to weigh in on the trend, which he says has been taking off simply because the stars want to show off their summer glow. Case in point: Sports Illustrated model Chrissy Teigen, 28, who was yummy at the Spike Guys’ Choice Awards in a Three Floor yellow frock with nude gladiator sandals by Casadei."This asymmetrical mini gave edge to a color that is often seen as sweet," noted Musto.
Last week, Blake Lively, 26, flaunted a hint of cleavage in a mustard-colored, leather-trimmed Gucci number at the designer’s Chime for Change event in New York. While the Gossip Girl star looked amazing, Musto thinks platinum blond tresses would have complemented the shade of the collared dress better.
Hollywood’s newest "It" girl Shailene Woodley also sported the hue at the New York premiere for The Fault in Our Stars. The 22-year-old actress lit up the red carpet in a yellow Ralph Lauren column gown. "She has a great physique for the strapless look," praised Musto. "She is either hitting Pilates daily or just isn’t old enough to have bad arms yet." For those looking to try out the yellow trend, Musto has a few tips: "With an awesome summer tan, yellow can be your best friend. Remember though, never wear it with black or you will look like the queen bee… and I’m not talking about Beyoncé."
