Featuring almost 200 brands and designers, Barcelona Bridal Week 2014 kicked off with a bang on May 6th 2014. The event was a showering show of bridal wears and formals showing glam, elegance and high fashion. Elegance was actually the main protagonist of the evening with over 550 and above outfits for the evening. The wedding dresses played both vintage and classic genres conquering one of every 10 bride in the world key.
The wedding attires were mostly in gleaming shades of whites and silks, some showcasing flares and volume and others with long sleek designs and lacey veils. Barcelona has become a bridal fashion metropolitan in the bridal industry around the world. Pasarela, a divine emblematic city of Barcelona has passed on some of the best parties in modern wedding dresses and fashion ramp walk of the country reaffirming a high level of design, innovation and creativity.
It was the twenty fourth edition of the event this year, and was a benchmark for all the designers in bridal wear and wedding dresses to highlight their line of collection at such a huge platform. Visitors came from all around the globe to see the extravagance of the event. The quality of firms, visitors and buyers still reaffirmed the fact that Barcelona fashion week was the best in its business for bridal contour.
Sixty percent of the audience was of international visitors from 74 countries of the world. They were representing a twenty-three percent increase in the no. of shows up as compared to last year. The largest came from Italy, Germany, Russia, USA, UK, Portugal and Brazil in that order.
Most visitors for the event were interested buyers who had a taste for wedding attires and accessories made in Spain. The success rate of the event reflects that Spain contains one the leading Fashion firms for wedding dresses around the world. In fact, Spain may be the second most popular country in the textile industry known for bridal couture and accessories.
The event was held in Hall 2 of the Gran Vía has displayed some 10,000 suits over 2,500 brides and party presented by 200 brands, 50% of them international, from Germany, Belgium, France, England, Italy, Lebanon, Portugal, South Korea, Poland, Turkey, Romania, Colombia, Mexico and Brazil; and were welcomed by freshman salon and fashion jewelery & Eurobijoux MIBI.
The event director, Miquel Serrano said that, " Cautious optimism is perceived in the industry, so we are pleased with the results, particularly in the international arena. We plan to continue working in this line for Spanish designers to continue conquering not only one of 10 brides worldwide, but many more. "
In the absence of a few hours to a close, it was estimated that a total of about 16,000 visitors attended the Barcelona Bridal Week, consolidating Catalan appointment as the global benchmark in the bridal authentic universe. The week was a booming success and the organizers are now looking forward to another week of bridal glam in the next year on 5th may, 2015.
