Vena Cava and GenArt hosted a party at Chateau Marmont to celebrate the label's 10-year alumni status.
“Thanks for inviting me to the cool party,” said Annie Erin Clark, otherwise known as St. Vincent, as she took to the poolside stage at West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont on Wednesday for a pool party thrown by GenArt and Vena Cava.
The fete, meant to celebrate the label’s 10-year alumni status, spilled out of tiny Bungalow One and onto the brick patio as the party reached capacity less than an hour in. The valet was eventually closed on the orders of the fire marshal.
“It’s great to take a step back and enjoy what we have built and the exciting things ahead,” said Vena Cava cofounder Sophie Buhai, who was otherwise unbothered by the commotion.
Malin Akerman, Binky Shapiro, Bella Heathcote, Busy Philipps and Sophia Bush were among those who modeled Vena Cava looks in lieu of a fashion presentation, while other friends of the brand included Jenny Lewis, Elodie Bouchez, Natasha Lyonne, Clea DuVall and Julia Jones. Despite the slew of events taking place in Hollywood, Bush noted, “It’s sort of like, the place to be tonight.”
