Maria Tagalou at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin

Mercedes-Benz, always following fashion all over the world and having connected its name with the most important fashion weeks such as the ones of New York, Moscow, Berlin, Tokyo, etc., in cooperation with the international fashion week Athens Xclusive Designers Week, which promotes new talents from the national and international fashion scene, giving them the opportunity to present their fresh ideas to the public and be awarded with important awards, offered to Maria Tagalou, the winner of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Award Greece at the New Designers Awards of 13th Mercedes-Benz Athens Xclusive Designers Week, the chance to attend the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin in July!

Maria travelled to Berlin with Mercedes-Benz Hellas executives and enjoyed VIP treatment during the Berlin Fashion Week: On the 1st day, the Mercedes-Benz limousine picked her up and drove her to the fashion week venue in Branderburg Gate, where she watched from the front row the shows of designers Malaikaraiss, Kilian Kerner and Kiesel, and the Africa Fashion Day. Also, she dined with designer Dorothee Schumacher and presented her work to her, while discussing about the future and the trends of fashion, after Maria had attended her fashion show.

The ultimate fashion experience continued with the show of designer Dimitri and the ceremony of “Designer for Tomorrow” (Fashion talent Award by Peek & Cloppenburg Dusseldorf and Fashion ID) which was hosted by top fashion designer Stella McCartney.

The next stop was the exclusive party of Mercedes-Benz & German Vogue, at the most famous restaurant in Berlin, which all designers attended, as well as the avant garde of fashion and popular artists such as Bryan Adams and Usher.

On the last day of her stay in Berlin, Maria met the German team of Mercedes-Benz, handed the press kit with her work and got informed about the young designers contest “Designer for Tomorrow”. With her VIP Backstage pass, the young designer felt the fever of a fashion show preparation, while attending the show of the winner of the Mercedes-Benz & ELLE Fashion Award Germany, Satu Maaranen.

After the trip of the winner of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Award Greece in Berlin, the 14th edition of the international fashion week in Athens is on its way, taking place in October, at the Conference Center of Ethniki Asfalistiki.
