Rosetta Getty Toasts Net-a-porter Launch

“It’s our first housewarming,” said Rosetta Getty from the patio of her newly erected home, a manse quietly tucked away in L.A.’s Nichols Canyon. She and husband Balthazar Getty moved in just a month ago after a three-year-long build, and the couple couldn’t wait another day to share the new digs.“We’ve been building this home for a long time, and I’ve been working on building my company for a long time,” the designer said of the get-together, which doubled as a celebration of the Friday launch of her line on Net-a-porter. “It’s a huge celebration of both things.”

As guests trickled in, Balthazar took inventory. “It’s a little bit nerve-wracking,” he sighed. “But at some point, you just have to let go and not worry about who does or doesn’t show up.”

They had a good turnout. The group most of which was, of course, Rosetta Getty-clad included Marisa Tomei, Camilla Belle, Patricia Arquette, Emile Hirsch, Alex Pettyfer, Rebecca Gayheart, Jacqui Getty, Langley Fox, Will Peltz and Rain Phoenix. “Fifty Shades of Grey” director Sam Taylor-Johnson and her actor husband, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, admitted they could use a few introductions. “We’ve just moved to town, and we don’t know anyone,” Sam said.

Demi Moore was also feeling a bit unacquainted. “They probably know more people here than I do,” she said of daughters Scout and Tallulah Willis, her dates for the evening, who were staring down photographers at the time. As Scout posed for a photo, her sister swooped in to fix her hemline. “My stylist, everyone!” Scout cracked before raving about her look. “It could fit anyone’s body. It’s a smock situation that ties around the front and the back.” To drive the point home, she and her sister switched into one another’s ensembles toward the end of the night.

For Tallulah’s part, the night marked the debut of her new shorn buzz cut, reminiscent of mom’s “G.I. Jane” shave-down circa ’97. “It’s funny because we did watch the movie the other day,” the youngest Willis admitted, though she insisted that wasn’t the impetus. “I just had this moment where I was watching TV at, like, 10 o’clock at night, and I realized, ‘I can’t go another day with hair.’ I woke up and found some clippers. I was like, ‘I need to do it,’ ” she said. “I’m so happy that I did it. I can’t imagine life with hair now. Now that I don’t have it, I feel like I can’t go back to it. It was kind of cathartic.”

Meanwhile, the night’s hostess divulged that the party was a warm-up for next week’s festivities. “I’m hosting Thanksgiving dinner here,” Rosetta said. “It’s going to be probably more like 30 people.…I thought I’d keep it low-key."
