Presenting the biggest award in fashion
Copenhagen Fashion Week’s partner through several seasons, Max Factor, is behind one of the most prestigious awards in Danish fashion: The Max Factor New Talent Award. Each year, the award sponsors a talented designer’s fashion show at a value of DKK 150,000. This year’s winner is the designer Veronica B. Vallenes who, for the last couple of years, has captured the hearts of both the fashion media and consumers.
On February 4, Veronica B. Vallenes will receive the award and show her AW11 collection at Copenhagen City Hall. Lord Mayor Frank Jensen and the Key Makeup Artist for Max Factor, Mina Ingerslev, will present the award. Max Factor New Talent Award: Friday, February 4, at 16.00. RSVP: [email protected] Not without hair and makeup.
As with fashion photography, a fashion show’s look is complete only when the clothes, the hair and the makeup interact as a whole. Therefore, it is no coincidence that Copenhagen Fashion Week has teamed up with the most competent business partners in this field. With Key Makeup artist Mina Ingerslev in the forefront, makeup giant Max Factor has been the partner of Copenhagen Fashion Week throughout three seasons. Every season, Mina and her team create the looks of more than eight shows.
In August 2010, Copenhagen Fashion Week got yet another lift by partnering up with one of the world’s leading hair product brands, Wella. For more than 130 years, Wella has educated hairdressers, created some of the world’s leading hair‐ and styling products, and ‐ last but not least ‐ invented some of the most trendsetting looks in hair fashion. The Swedish stylist Marta Spizewska and her team of hairdressers will style the hair of the models at six shows during this fashion week, including Bruuns Bazaar, Jean//Phillip, Spon Diego, YDE, Baum und Pferdgarten and Veronica B. Vallenes.
