The excitement was in the air, and so dense that you can almost touch it, feel it. Oscars 2011 were less than 24 hours away and the Oscar nominees were waiting for the result, counting every minute, counting every heart beat.
The suspense, like always was not just for the Oscar nominees but also for the viewers which have watched and evaluated the movies throughout the year. Yet another excitement was to see the biggest stars on the globe walking on the red carpet, and looking like they belong to a different planet.
2011 Oscar predictions had been made and it will probably be hardly a surprise to see them becoming reality. The predictors have had practiced since 1929, when the first ever Oscars were given out. This year, we celebrated the 83rd year of Oscar awards and the excitement was no different than the one we experienced so many years back.
On February 27th, we found out the owners of the gorgeous Oscar statues. But for now, all we can talk about are the Oscar nominees.
Like every year, the most important category for the Oscar awards was ”Best Film”, which had presented 10 popular films, “Black Swan”, “The King’s Speech” and “The social Network” being the strongest Oscar nominees. Some even said that this year’s Oscar nominees were not as strong as the ones we had last year. The other nominees were The Fighter, Inception, The Fighter, The Kids Are All Right, Toy Story, 127 Hours, Winters Bone and True Grit.
The Oscar nominations for Oscars 2011 for the best director of the year had given out the directors of the following movies: Black Swan, The King’s Speech, The Fighter, True Grit, and The Social Network.
Three of the most popular directors; Darren Aronofsky, (Black Swan), Tom Hooper (The King’s Speech) and David Fincher, (The Social Network), were seen on the glorious which just added up to the whole excitement. They are our favorite directors after all and seeing them together was surely happened a quite something.
Since movies were not exactly the whole thing and the diehard fans of male and female celebrities were looking ahead anxiously to find out whether their favorite ones get to have the Oscar trophy or not, so it was reasonable to point out who the most likely winners were.
The Oscar nominees for Oscars 2011 for best Actor in leading role were Javier Bardem, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeff Bridges, James Franco, Colin Firth whereas the Oscar nominees for best Actress in leading role were Annette Bening, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicole Kidman, Michelle Williams Natalie Portman.
‘Best Male Colin Firth, Natalie Portman, Best Female and Best Supporting Female Christian Bale were the names which we were hearing again and again and it seemed that nobody doubted about their victory anymore. The real answer came with the new dawn of course but years of experience told us to expect what we had been told.
The countdown had already started. Now, as I brag on and on about the Oscar awards and the Oscar nominees, I had exactly 1 Day, 8 hours and 27 minutes left until the BIG was going the start happening. The world was yet again waiting for the Oscar statues to be handed over to their favorites. Oscars 2011 were here!
