In the clip, the pair can be seen making blatant references to the royal British culture. Both were drinking in teacups. The Spy star even wore a formal outfit complete with a fascinator and white gloves. She is also accessorized with a pearl necklace and bracelet. Many speculated that they were mocking the royals in the clip.
“The video was cringeworthy,” an unnamed source told the Globe. The insider claimed that Markle working on her organic garden was a not-so-subtle dig at Prince Charles. Following the incident and Markle’s allegation that the royal family is racists, the latter is allegedly fighting back. So, the royal family is banning her, the outlet claims.
“Banning her from Britain is likely the first step in renouncing her royal status forever. No one mocks the monarch and gets away with it,” the source said.
Gossip Cop examined the report and debunked it. The rumor-debunking site noted that the move would be an overreaction and completely unheard of.
First, individuals do not just get banned from other countries for no reason. Second, a crime must be committed for it to be an option.
While Markle made a playful jab at the royals, she did nothing illegal for the royal family to ban her. Gossip Cop believed that the unnamed insider had no insight into the royal family.
