Prince William is allegedly not supportive of Meghan Markle’s idea to have her and Prince Harry’s daughter’s christening in the U.K., according to a royal correspondent.
Prince Wiliam and Prince Harry have been rumored to be feuding. They have both put their rift aside whenever they make public appearances. However, the Duke of Cambridge is reportedly not very welcoming about the thought of baby Lili having her christening in England.

According to reports, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning to have their daughter’s christening in his home country. Markle gave birth to their second child on June 4. They named her Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor after Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana.
However, according to NBC royal correspondent Neil Sean, it’s unlikely for baby Lili to be christened at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. The place is special for the Sussexes because it was where Prince Harry and Markle got married and where their firstborn Archie was baptized.

Both are reportedly keen to make their return for baby Lili’s christening. He speculated that the people might think they are capitalizing on their royal connection. But a member of the royal family allegedly strongly disagreed with the idea.
“But moving forward there was one person who basically decided there wasn’t an appetite for this and the person that seemingly is, so far, not willing to kiss and make up with his younger brother,” Sean said referring to Prince William.

“According to a very good source, Prince William was the one who basically said ‘no, we don’t think this is going to work,’ it wasn’t a particularly good idea.”
Meghan Markle has not returned to the UK after last year’s Megxit. Prince Harry has already made several solo trips to his home country several times already.

The Duke of Sussex flew to the UK in April for Prince Philip’s funeral. He returned in late June for the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue on what would have been her 60th birthday.
Meghan was not able to accompany her husband on both trips because she was pregnant with baby Lili. However, royal commentator Robert Jobson, author of Prince Philip’s Century: The Extraordinary Life of the Duke of Edinburgh believed that the duchess has no plans to return to the U.K.

According to him, Markle is not popular in the country at the present.
