In the fashion forecast given for spring 2010 we saw that when it comes to length jumpsuits have no limits. At their shortest, we saw playsuits and rompers on the runway that were almost as tiny as hot pants. At their longest they touched the ankles, and in between were knee length and mid-calf jumpsuits. Badgley Mischka and DKNY all experimented with the length and the style of the jumpsuits this season.
Here are some general tips and ideas on how to wear the jumpsuits in the most trendy way:
- If you have curves or pear-shaped figure try a halter jumpsuit or playsuit which has a belt at the waist. Add a pair of stilettos for a bombshell silhouette.
- For night time choose more luxurious fabrics like silks. Extra details like sequins or sheer panels or leather can be added for an edgier look.
- If you go for a basic one colour piece then try a cropped jacket in a contrasting colour. Or a Givenchy jewellery piece. Belts or ties or some chains can also be added to add the extra glamorous look.
- Another way to wear the jumpsuit in 2010 is to pair this style look with harem-style pants with gathered-in ankles
