Ireland Baldwin was in her element – and looking stunning doing so – at the annual Go Red For Women catwalk in New York on Thursday. While a host of stunning celebrities walked the catwalk for the Red Dress Collection show, Ireland was the only professional model. The 18-year-old was impossible not to stare at as she glided down the black runway.
Wearing a one strapped Donna Karan gown – in red of course – the daughter of Alec Baldwin looked like a cross between a Greek goddess and an ice queen. The bright draped gown, which featured a high split on one side, complimented the model’s alabaster skin and platinum locks. Allowing the stunning dress to be the centre of attention, Ireland wore just touches of gold, namely a cuff around her right wrist with drop earrings and strappy gold heels.
The blonde beauty’s hair was slicked back on the sides and teased on top and her makeup consisted of just a bronzed coloured eye shadow and highlighted cheek bones. Also looking stunning in red was 16-year-old actress Bella Thorn. The Vampire Diaries looked very grown up in a Badgley Mischka featuring a high neck and a mermaid silhouette, which thanks to the slinky fabric, flowed and moved with every one of the young star’s steps. Also showing off their youthful good looks was AnnaSophia Robb who broke the mould slightly by not wearing an all red dress. Instead, the 20-year-old wore a strapless black dress by Alice + Olivia that had a red rose lattice work patten across its tight bodice and skirt that flared out at the Carrie Diaries star’s waist. But the event is about celebrating women and so the night’s catwalk stars were in all different life stages.
The Chew host Daphne Oz showed off her very pregnant belly as she walked down the catwalk. Having a blast the star – who is Dr. Oz’s daughter – jokingly pulled Beyonce’s famous pose that she did when she revealed she was pregnant at the VMAs in 2011. Out of her element but doing just fine was Sasha Cohen. The former Olympic ice skater brought sexy back to the catwalk.
Risking a wardrobe malfunction, the 29-year-old wore a velvet dress by Marc Bouwer with dramatic shoulders, plunging neckline all the way to her belly button, and a dangerously cut out side which threatened to expose more than just side boob as she turned. But not everyone wore a dress. Rocker Joan Jett gave her signature feisty edge to a romper by Catherine Malandrino, which also showed off the 55-year-old’s tattoos.
Held every year at New York Fashion week, the Red Dress Collection is put on to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease in women. It is held the night before the Nation Wear Red Day which raises money for the American Heart Association. While most people associate heart disease with men, it is the number one killer of women in America.
