Renee Zellweger has not worked a carpet in five months. But when she showed up on Monday evening to the University of California Medical Centre charity function in San Francisco, she impressed in a little black dress.
The 44-year-old actress was a guest at The Painted Turtle Present A Starry Evening of Music, Comedy & Surprises at the Davies Symphony Hall. Wearing minimal makeup and with her strawberry blonde locks in a messy updo, the Oscar winner looked like a breath of fresh air.
Her curves were in perfect shape too with a small waistline and trim pins. The only thing missing on the Chicago actress was some nail polish. Also at the event was Annette Bening, Josh Groban, Bonnie Raitt, Danny DeVito, and Glee actress Amber Riley, who hit the stage to perform with the kids from The Painted Turtle camp at the centre.
Since the 85th Academy Awards in 2013, Renee has seldom been seen in public. It’s well known that the Oscars ceremony is a struggle to get through, but when it came to present an award with Richard Gere, she looked a little worse for wear and struggled to read the nominees from the envelope.
But in San Francisco she looked clam and confident. The Painted Turtle is a year-round camp that provides a haven for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses. In partnership with San Francisco University’s Children’s Hospital, its Outreach Program tries to bring the essence of the camp adventure throughout the year to children in the Bay Area who are too sick to attend.
