Victoria’s Secret in its dazzling annual fashion show in 2010 December with fascinating theme “A Night of a Thousand Fantasies”, featured six different themes to showcase different types of women in heavenly bodies, pink, country girls, game on, tough love and wild things. Nevertheless, the theme in itself endows thousand fantasies in which a woman can be disguised to rule hearts and souls.
An outstanding brigade of 34 models, six of whome were of color with Chanel Iman, Selita Ebanks, and Lais Ribeiro contributing an impressive 18 percent of boobs of color to show. Other models such as Lily Donaldson,Edita Vilkeviciute, Magdalena Frackowiak, Izabel Goulart,Flavia de Oliveira, Candice Swanepoel, Gracie Carvalho, Martha Streck, Julia Stegner, Magdalena Frackowiak, Adriana Lima, Flavia de Oliveira, Anja Rubik, Maryna Linchuk, Lily Aldridge, Edita Vilkeviciute, Jessica Stam, Candice Swanepoel, Magdalena Frackowiak and Anja Rubik appeared made sophisticated walk on runway disguised in strength of fantasy world. They in wonderfully tailored creative costumes set the ramp at fire with millions of applauses and appreciation.
Riding further the show ‘wild things’ was the wonderful segment featuring ethnic models prominently in nudity wrapped in animal instinct. The sagacity of six black models presented by Victoria’s Secret was superlative on runway with puffy marshmallow zebra printed hip wings and high heeled sneakers although somewhat mysteriously, all of the colored models got to walk the runway in the segment with “tribal” body paint.
A segment narrated by model Candice Swanepoel was shot in black and white and in “country girls” segment blonde haired blue eyed models were showcased on a set resembling a barn while country music blared down the runway. Innovative outfits in modern fairy appearance of heavenly bodies trapped eyes in utmost fine architectural blends.
