The Queen Helene mint julep mask has a faithful following. The mask comes for $5 for an 8 0z tube which is extremely cheap compared to other masks. It has a minty smell which is pleasant and not too strong. The color of the mask is green. It is a bit difficult to get the mask out of the tube because of its thick consistency.
It should be put on for 15 minutes on a cleansed face. When it dries it turns a pastel green color. It is difficult to get it off so it is better to use a washcloth to remove it so there are no green patches left on your skin.
The mint julep mask is very good for removing blackheads and reducing pore size. It helps in drying up acne too and leaves the face feeling clean and fresh. It does not over dry the skin but the dry skin types might need to use a moisturizer after it.
The mask also works great as an overnight spot treatment. The kaolin clay helps to draw out the oil and bacteria and helps to dry out the pimple.
Overall a very good mask for $5, even better than most high end masks.
