The style in which the diamond or diamonds are held in an engagement ring is called the engagement ring’s setting. The engagement ring’s setting defines the overall design of the ring. A fashionable bride preferably goes for a modern Bezel setting for her engagement ring. While a classic bride usually prefers a solitaire diamond in a Prong setting.
The most popular engagement ring settings:
Prong Engagement Ring Settings – This style comes with a solitaire diamond but can hold a few more if desired. This style enhances the diamond more as compared to the ring.
Cluster Engagement Ring Setting – In this setting small diamonds are ‘clustered’ together in either a circular pattern or flower pattern.
Bezel Engagement Ring Setting – Bezel setting has a delicate strip of metal that wraps itself around the outer edge of the diamond. This metal is attached to the ring base for support.
Channel Engagement Ring Settings – A row of round diamonds are set into a ridged channel in order to produce a stunning row of round diamonds. In this none of the diamond’s edges are left uncovered.
Pave Engagement Ring Setting – Small holes are drilled in rows in this setting on the ring’s surface and the diamonds are placed inside these small holes.
Flush Engagement Ring Setting – A diamond, or row of diamonds are set on the ring surface for a sparkling result.
