Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were probably feeling left out that they were not part of the COP26 Climate Change event in Glasgow, Scotland, according to a royal commentator.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their royal duties last year. Following their exit, they moved and settled in the United States. Royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti believed that the royal couple is feeling “left out” at the royal family’s recent event.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrote to world leaders attending the G20 summit in Rome over the weekend. The Sussexes urged them to send COVID-19 vaccines to low-income countries.
Sacerdoti believed that the couple only did it to stay in the limelight. He stressed the importance of timing in what the couple does. It fell on the weekend when the royal family was about to attend the COP26 Climate Change conference.

For him, Prince Harry and Markle won’t let a single opportunity for publicity pass them by. Also, they knew that the royal family would be at the COP26 full force.
The Queen had to cancel her attendance as she was advised to rest for two more weeks. However, she made a virtual appearance to deliver her remarks at the event. Prince Charles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton were in attendance at the event.

“And I think that Meghan and Harry would have felt very much left out and that’s probably one of the moments when they would most have missed the side of royal duties that comes with being a working Royal,” Sacerdoti told Express.
Sacerdoti also weighed in on the couple’s feelings about skipping huge events like COP26 now that they are no longer working royals. He pointed out that while the Sussexes may have felt “liberated” after relocating to California, there are elements they certainly miss as working royals.
