The relationship between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle has been well documented. However, the reason behind the reported divide between the two women has never been clear.
Now a new book has claimed to reveal the reason why there isn’t a close bond between the two women. Apparently, Kate couldn’t bond with her future sister-in-law because she didn’t have ‘much energy’.

The Duchess was pregnant with her third child Prince Louis in 2018 and gave birth to her son just weeks before Harry and Meghan’s wedding.
In an updated edition of his unauthorized biography, Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, author Andrew Morton claims that the two women didn’t have a lot of time to get to know one another.

According to The Mirror, the extract states, ‘Kate and Meghan were neither sisters nor, unlike Fergie and Diana, friends before they joined the Royal Family.’
‘What is more, during the build-up to Meghan’s wedding, Kate was experiencing her third difficult pregnancy and was focused on her own welfare. She did not have much energy to bond with her new neighbor.’

He goes on to claim that there was ‘little opportunity’ for Meghan and Kate to develop a friendship ‘away from public events as they spent most of their time living three hours away.
Kate and her family spend their free time in Anmer Hall, meanwhile during their time in the UK Harry and Meghan lived in Frogmore Cottage. Harry’s dream of two united happy families seemed a long way off.’

Kate and Meghan have yet to reunite after the Sussexes made their decision to step down as senior royals in the early months of 2020. Since then, Meghan dropped a series of bombshells about her treatment during her time as a member of the family.
including her claim that Kate was the one who made her cry ahead of her wedding day. Speaking to Oprah, she denied claims that Kate left a dress fitting in tears following an altercation and instead said it was Kate who had made her cry.

Claiming it would not be fair on Kate to go into details on what happened, Meghan simply stated during the tell-all chat there “wasn’t a confrontation” and an apology was made.
