Nicole Kidman recently did a virtual interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote her new Hulu show Nine Perfect Strangers. Naturally, their conversation veered into the territory of Kidman’s marriage. Fallon asked Kidman when Keith Urban first swept her off her feet.
Kidman responded by saying that Urban “sat on the stoop” of her apartment in New York. She recalls that she came out at 5 AM on her birthday and that Keith was waiting for her with flowers. Nicole Kidman says that after that, she “was a goner” and agreed to marry Keith Urban. This anecdote was met with a long “aww” from the studio audience in New York.

Jimmy Fallon also wanted to know if Nicole Kidman would ever record a duet album with Keith Urban. Kidman said that she wouldn’t feel comfortable with it because she believes you should “stay in your lane.”
