Specifically, he helped Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz, a Saudi businessman, obtain an honorary CBE, the highest honor a non-Commonwealth citizen can receive. Mahfouz made considerable donations to Charles’ charitable causes and was conferred the honor in 2016.
