When you’re searching a celebrity, it could be because you’re interested in their love life, their current style, or their latest projects. But sometimes you search celebrities to see what mess they’ve gotten themselves into this week or what gossip and rumors are presently floating around about them on the Internet. It’s a guilty pleasure shared by people all around the world.
Looking up a celebrity on Google doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a fan, (a few members of the Kardashian crew made the list). Googling a celebrity could mean you’re a little obsessed with them, like constantly refreshing Google hoping Blake Lively will release the name of her baby girl.
Whether we admit it or not, we can’t help but search celebrities and read mindless posts about them, like looking up how old they are, what they recently tweeted, or the newest picture of them walking their dog. This list of the Top 5 Most Googled Female Celebrities is based on the monthly average Google searches of their name. Some may surprise you, while others may not, but the number of times any of these celebrities are Googled will definitely shock you.

5. Kendall Jenner – 2,740,000 Searches Per Month
Kendall Jenner is searched on Google about 2,740,000 times a month. These days, the young model is trying to make a name for herself and not just by being associated to the Kardashian clan. She has modeled for some huge names in the fashion industry; such as Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Alexander Wang, Vera Wang, Michael Kors, and Oscar de la Renta. Jenner is the face of Calvin Klein Jeans and has been featured on the covers of magazines like Teen Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and GQ. She also continues to star alongside her family on the reality television show Keeping Up With The Kardashains. Not too bad for a 19-year-old.
4. Kylie Jenner – 3, 350,000 Searches Per Month
Another member of the Kardashian family, and fellow star of the reality television show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, is 17-year-old Kylie Jenner. The socialite and model is Googled 3,350,000 times a month. Jenner has started a clothing brand and written a science-fiction novel with her sister Kendall. But why is Kylie Googled more than her older, and seemingly more successful sister? Jenner is the center of a lot of controversy, mainly rumors of plastic surgery, posing in blackface, and dating Will Smith’s 16-year-old son, Jaden Smith. It isn’t too shocking to see the amount of controversy that follows the youngest of the famous family, it’s in her genes.
3. Beyoncé – 5,000,000 Searches Per Month
Beyoncé is searched on Google 5 million times a month and she deserves nothing less. Queen B is one of the biggest singer/songwriters of our generation, dropped her latest self-titled album without any previous promotion. The surprise thrilled her fans, and the album became her fifth consecutive number-one album. Beyoncé is also an actress, starring in films like Austin Powers Goldmember, The Pink Panther, Dreamgirls, and Obsessed. The superstar is a triple-threat, as well as a style icon, a business mogul, wife to Jay-Z and mother to Blue Ivy. Who run the world? Beyoncé.
2. Rihanna – 6,120,000 Searches Per Month
Rihanna is Googled 6,120,000 times a month. No wonder, the singer is a constant chart-topper and collaborates with some of the biggest names in music. Her numerous Grammy Awards, American music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and BRIT Awards, are a testament to her talent. Rihanna has also starred in her fair share of films; Bring It On: All or Nothing, Battleship, This Is the End, Annie, and the latest, Home, an animated film co-starring Jim Parsons, Jennifer Lopez, and Steve Martin. Rihanna is also a fashion designer, a model, and a spokeswoman. We have Jay-Z to thank, who signed the songstress to a record deal back in 2005.

1. Kim Kardashian – 13,600,000 Searches Per Month
Obviously Mrs. Kardashian-West tops the list of the most Googled female celebrities, being searched a whopping 13,600,000 times a month. She did “break the internet” this year, after posing on the cover of Paper magazine with a champagne glass balancing on her derrière. Her Instagram account has the second biggest following, Instagram’s own account being number one. She isn’t just a reality television star (but Keeping Up With The Kardashians probably wouldn’t have thrived without her presence), she’s a household name, being involved in pretty much any business venture you could possibly imagine. Her marriage to Kanye West, and the birth of their daughter North, were some of the biggest stories of the past decade. She may not be well liked, but Kim-K is definitely well off, universally talked-about and extensively Googled.
