I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! stars Amy Willerton and Rebecca Adlington famously clashed in the jungle. But it appears all has been forgiven despite Rebecca’s stinging criticism of the former beauty queen upon her exit from the I’m A Celeb camp. The pair hugged it out as they both looked glamorous in floor length gowns, no doubt complimenting each other on their stunning appearances, as they ran into one another at the 2014 National Television Awards at London’s The O2 on Wednesday night.
Rebecca, 24,who revealed her insecurities in the jungle, constantly comparing herself to Amy, looked sleek in a black dress, and freshly coiffed hair. But Amy, 21, made sure she stood out in a golden embellished keyhole gown by Jovani as she glided down the red carpet. The Bristol-born beauty queen’s dress featured a prom-style full skirt and a flattering cinched-in waist.
Amy teetered on towering beige and gold platform heels as she posed for photographs with Rebecca, who unfortunately was put in a shade by Amy’s bedazzled look. The Olympic gold medallist didn’t hold back when she left the I’m A Celeb camp, blasting Amy as ‘selfish’ because she had smuggled in contraband in the form of ‘concealer and the lip balm’ that put the other campmates at risk of punishment.
Speaking to Ant and Dec in her exit interview, the 24-year-old athlete said: ‘I’m such a team player and Lucy is the biggest team player of all. ‘So, I think [Amy’s behaviour has] bothered me and Lucy more than anyone else, because we’re both such strong team players. We thrive being in a team more than as an individual.’ ‘I think it’s just affected us that someone has been selfish in that way, to bring in loads of stuff that no-one else has. It’s unfair,’ she added.
She continued: ‘We’ve all come in here and we’ve all accepted that there’s rules and there’s regulations you’ve got to go by. ‘It has upset me that one campmate totally went against that with the bikinis, the underwear, the contraband, the concealer and the lip balm.’ However it seems all was well on the red carpet, and when the pair took to the stage to accept the award for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! which was named Best Entertainment Programme.
