Guests at the New Yorkers for Children Annual Spring Gala in large part stuck to a black, white and grey colour palette when picking their outfits. But Emma Roberts and Nina Agdal still went for very different looks in the process.
The actress arrived at the New York event on Monday in an unusual ruffled white blouse over a black shift dress. Emma left her very slender legs on show in the chic outfit, and the petite 5ft 2in star gave herself a boost in high-heeled black ankle boots.
The American Horror Story star, 23, carried a miniature black clutch bag and wore her golden blonde bob in soft waves. Emma went for glamorous, but not too heavy make-up for the occasion, with lots of mascara, a slick of bright pink lipstick and a good sweeping of bronzer.
Meanwhile, Nina was much more dressed up in a gown which consisted of a layer of black lace over a cream underlay. The frock cinched in at the Sports Illustrated model’s tiny waist and had a plunging neckline which allowed her to flash her ample cleavage.
Nina carried a black satin clutch and otherwise kept her accessories to a minimum with just a pair of diamond drop earrings. The 22-year-old tied her sandy hair into a boho braided updo and wore natural make-up to give her complexion a distinct glow.
Nina posed up with fellow Sports Illustrated model, Selita Ebanks, who was clad in a heavily embellished grey top tucked into a black floor-length skirt with racy thigh-high split up one side. Meanwhile Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford sported a simple white dress which did little to hide her skinny frame.
Real Housewives Of Atlanta’s Cynthia Bailey arrived on the red carpet at the Mandarin Oriental in a black satin creation. Elsewhere, Crystal Renn and Julie Macklowe were courting attention in dramatic monochrome numbers and Elettra Rossellini Wiedemann stood out in red, making her the only famous guest wearing colour.
Nina split from boyfriend Max George of The Wanted fame in February after just a few months of dating, while Emma is engaged to fellow actor and American Horror Story co-star Evan Peters.
