The stars dusted off their fanciest threads for tonight’s celebrations – but some shouldn’t have bothered.
On a night of such glitz and glamour, there were bound to be a few frock-ups as the stars descended on London’s Royal Opera House for the BAFTAs.
While most pulled out all the stops to make it a night to remember, some stars will stay in our minds for all the wrong reasons.
Rebel Wilson , Bel Powley and Laura Haddock all failed to impress in the style stakes.
Rebel’s choice of a black blazer and matching pencil skirt with an uneven hemline meant she looked more suited to a day in the office than a night celebrating some of the biggest stars on the planet.
Bel Powley, who is up for the Rising Star award at tonight’s bash, certainly brought a pop of colour to the event. But not in the way we might have hoped.
Her rainbow-coloured gown turned heads for all the wrong reasons and even Bel didn’t look too happy with it.
Proving everyone suffers a fashion fail every now and again, Rooney Mara looked drab and dreary in a nude frock with cut-out detailing.
Her floor-length gown swamped her petite figure, and she didn’t even brighten up her look with accessories.
Another star who didn’t quite live up to fashion expectations was English actress Laura Haddock, who opted for a rather bizarre feathery number.
Laura’s black blouse did nothing for her slim frame and she didn’t even rescue the look with her shoes.
Presenter Laura Whitmore also failed to impress, leaving little to the imagination in a figure-hugging teal dress with a split to her navel.
