First things first: Yes, Gaga and Cooper’s chemistry as they performed on “Shallow” at the Oscars didn’t go unnoticed. They fired up the stage with their camaraderie, so much so, it got tongues wagging. Not too long ago, Gaga addressed the same at the Oprah Winfrey show in November, and stated, “Of course we wanted people to believe we were in love.
And we wanted people to feel that love at the Oscars….it was orchestrated as a performance.” Clearly brushing aside the rumors of a “blooming romance”; Gaga further added that the press was being silly.
Gaga reiterated the same even on the Jimmy Kimmel show last February post her Oscar win. “People saw love and guess what? That’s what we wanted you to see,” the pop star said. “I guess [Bradley and I] did a good job. Fooled ya!” she added.
But, it turns out, the tabloid “Life & Style” was in no mood to let a juicy rumor die so soon. In 2019, the tabloid went a notch further and conjured up a rather bizarre tale about how Cooper allegedly “broke” Gaga’s heart after giving her all the signs of being interested in her soon after his split with Shayk.
After setting her hopes high, Gaga was in for a rude shock when Cooper decided to not pursue it anymore. In November, the tabloid alleged that the two did date, but things turned sour when Cooper began to mess things up and show obvious signs of disinterest.
This bogus report is as ridiculous as the recent angle brought forth by the same tabloid. Just for the record, they are NOT dating, and haven’t ever dated. The co-stars of “A Star Is Born” are truly good friends. Anything that talks of them being more than just friends is far-stretched.
For those wondering what led to the split between Carino and Gaga; well while the former couple hasn’t divulged much, they maintained that “things didn’t work out”, and there’s “no long dramatic story”.
