According to In Touch Weekly, Jennifer Lopez feels humiliated by Rodriguez amid a string of cheating scandals surrounding the baseball star.
As such, Lopez decided to end her engagement with Rodriguez, and she also consequently ended their relationship.
But a recent statement revealed that the couple is still together. And though they’re reached a rough spot, they’re both trying to make things work.
Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez secretly split
However, a source for the tabloid insisted that this isn’t the case.
“They claim they’re working through things, but they’re done. And it’s only a matter of time until she has to admit it publicly,” the source said.
To make things worse, the insider also claimed that it was Rodriguez that encouraged Lopez to end their relationship.
“It’s over. And here’s the real shocker: Alex dumped Jennifer. And he did it by text. It’s no secret that Jennifer has trust issues and she always has. But the reality is that Alex couldn’t take her questioning and doubting him anymore. He reached the breaking point,” the source said.
Jennifer Lopez humiliated by Alex Rodriguez’s decision
Following the split, Jennifer Lopez couldn’t, allegedly, help but feel embarrassed and upset.
“She’s angry. She’s even refusing to return his $5 million engagement ring. A diva move? Sure. But who can blame her? She knew they were having problems, but then he just ended it,” the source said.
According to the source, the couple’s breakup also led them to lose $1 billion in their combined assets. After all, Lopez and Rodriguez won’t be working together anymore.
The A-listers are fixing their relationship
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. Just this week, People revealed that the A-listers are doing everything that they can to prioritize their relationship.
Last week, Rodriguez, reportedly, flew to the Dominican Republic to visit the World of Dance judge.
“He flew back to spend a few more days with Jennifer. He is making a big effort, and he wants Jennifer Lopez to be happy,” the insider said.
