Kate Bostock has been appointed chief executive of Coast. She joins the retailer after a seven-month stint at ASOS, where she held the position of executive buying director before her shock departure in July.
Prior to working for the online fashion e-tailer, Bostock was the head of clothing at Marks & Spencer, where she established a successful career and a highly regarded reputation under former chief executive Sir Stuart Rose.
"I am thrilled to be joining Coast, a brand that I love," said Bostock. "It has a unique proposition with huge potential for the future both in the UK and internationally, as well as a very successful online channel."
Bostock takes up the position from September when she will work alongside chairman Derek Lovelock. "I have known Kate for a number of years and am extremely excited by her joining Coast," said Lovelock. "Kate has a natural affinity with the brand and is the perfect choice for us."
